These past two weeks have been a whirlwind. From a wedding and family in from all over the country, to applying for passports, lots of meetings, errands, a school field trip, an amazing conference in Illinois… I should be exhausted. But I heard something pretty cool that I am going to share. PLEASE do this right now, wherever it is that you are while reading this. Ready? Raise your hand as high as you can. Are you doing it? Okay good. Now raise it a little higher, little higher still, keep going. Did you get up off your bum and stand up? Did you stand on your tippy toes? The point is that we think we are giving it our all. I said raise it as high as you can at first, and most of us don’t. We don’t stand up on our office chair and reach as high to ceiling that we can. We just do the minimal amount of work in our comfortable spot.
I should be exhausted. A lot of people would probably use all the things listed above as an excuse to take a nap, a day off, skip out on a few prior engagements. But I choose to say, there is always room for a little more. Reach a little higher, work a little harder, fight for your dreams. If you don’t, who will? I want to have an extraordinary life…and what’s the difference between ordinary and extraordinary…that little extra!
With all the rushing and running my body has suffered a little, because workouts and eating healthy got put on the back-burner for a few days, but picking up where I left off! And the comfort zone challenges are ready to go!
I am very excited about tomorrow morning! It will be challenging in three different ways. I am taking a water aerobic class at 7 am.
1) I have never done this before, no idea what to expect, I imagine it will be a tad uncomfortable going into it alone with no clue as to what I am doing.
2) I am buying a one-piece swimsuit for this. I don’t own one, they never fit right, I don’t feel like myself in them. But I need one for my missions trip this summer anyways and I don’t feel like an aerobic class in a two-piece would be a recipe for success.
3) I prefer to sleep in in the a.m. and workout in the p.m. I wish I loved a.m. workouts but I would be lying if I said I did!
I am ready and excited to be back on track with my comfort zone challenges, I have missed you guys! I encourage you to give it your all this week! Yes its Monday and people tend to drag on this day, but embrace your life and all you have. Time flies, my goodness, we are already celebrating our anniversary! Our 10 day anniversary that is! 🙂 I know, I know, (insert eye roll here), but I love that man and am ready to dive into life with him!
