If you are just tuning in to this blog, I have been doing weekly ‘challenges’ to get out of my comfort zone, while on a journey to self discovery. Its been fun. Hot yoga, belly dancing, going to the movies alone, etc. I have learned a lot and have hung out with some great people along the way.
I just finished up my ‘No Electronics for 24 Hours‘ over the weekend and am ready to set the date for the challenge for this week. Aerial Yoga at Wilson’s Fitness on Forum this Wednesday night. Aerial yoga is a type of yoga utilizing a fabric hammock as a tool to help students achieve traditional yoga poses. The gym’s website says no experience necessary. Thank goodness. I am not good at yoga on the ground, much less in a hammock in the air. But it sounds like a challenge! The class is from 5:30 pm-6:45pm. Cost is $15, however I spoke with someone on the phone who said that if it’s your first time it’s usually free. I like free. The girl on the phone also said people of all ages, shapes, sizes and fitness levels go to the class. So don’t worry I am probably not going to look anything like the photo above but more like a twisted up mess in a hammock. 🙂
If you would like to come out and try this challenge with me just send me an email at email@example.com or post below!
